#LeBron

A recent trend on twitter is the King himself, LeBron James.  During game 1 in a big series, LeBron was forced to leave the court with 4 minutes left in the game to watch his team lose 110-95 to the spurs.  What was his reason to need to leave? #crampsMiami Heat forward LeBron James (6) is helped from the court by guard Mario Chalmers (15), guard Dwyane Wade (3), Erik Spoelstra, front, right, and Rashard Lewis, right rear, during the second half in Game 1 of the NBA basketball finals on Thursday, June 5, 2014 in San Antonio. The stadium played in was super hot due to the air conditioner being broken, so there should be no surprise that one of the hardest working set of legs on the court would be affected.  Leg cramps are a common thing among athletes.  Especially the ones putting in the time and effort like LeBron.  If it was anyone else it probably would not be that big of a deal, but since it was one of the leaders on the court it would not be looked past.  Social media took off in tweets commenting on his weakness of "just having cramps" and comparing him to other great players.  Of course though the tweets did not include the heat conditions, they just focused on questioning the greatness of LeBron.

This Has got to be one of the funniest memes out about LeBron Cramping

Due to social media athletes and famous people now have to deal with a new type of expression by fans.  Not only can fans go and cheer or boo,and send hate or fan mail, but they can also post their views toward this person on social media for all to see, and play off of.  With one person starting the tweets everyone else can see them, especially when they are trending under their name.  Even large name companies like Gatorade got in on the fun tweeting to LeBron it is too bad that he choose to go with another drink because he would not be cramping if he was drinking there stuff.

The hashtag LeBron shows us how fast things can be blown up and start trending on twitter and other social media sites.  LeBron James is an incredible athlete, but because he is viewed so greatly one little slip will not be missed, and with social media it blows up into something way bigger.  No longer is his injury just a small struggle he has to deal with, but they are also causing the questioning of his manly-hood by many.  Social media can take something small and make it huge due to how fast it can spread for everyone to see.  Always be careful what you choose to post on media because if people take interest it could grow to be something way bigger than you expected.

annoying essays!

Something that really annoys me is writing essays.  In other classes like math and science there is only one right answer and limited ways to get that answer.  When you do a question, as long as you know what formulas to use, you can know if you are getting the right answer or not.  In English class there is no right answer.  Anything can be right as long as it can be strongly supported.  I find it really hard to make sure I am going into enough depth when supporting my thesis and even creating my thesis, and this makes essay writing really annoying.  I hate not be able to tell if what I am saying is right or if it doesn't even make sense.  Also, even though we can't use any personnel pronouns in essays (another part of essay writing that really annoys me!), I feel like essays are very opinion based.  Everyone interprets text in there own way, so essays on the same text can vary a lot.  I guess that is nice for the teacher getting to read something different instead of the same thing over and over again, but I always feel I need to make my opinion the same as the teacher's opinion, even though I know that it shouldn't effect my mark.  I also am a pretty good procrastinator.  Especially when I don't like what I'm doing.  Since I can never get my thoughts straight for what I want to write, I just get really annoyed and don't do it.  One time I literally sat in front of a computer for two hours and did nothing because nothing would come to me.  Then I have the hour before the essay is due to finally throw whatever I can together because I have no more time left.  I am sure some of you are reading this and completely disagree with me.  If you enjoy writing and like knowing that there is no right answer you probably love writing essays.  I am just not that person though, and for me they are the most annoying part of school.

My Defining Moment

I will never forget my first tap class when I was 4 years old.  After taking ballet the year before I decided I wanted to do something more fun, and with my new tap teacher Miss. Jessica it always was.  She was always so enthusiastic and fun, and made me excited to go back every week.  I adored Miss. Jessica and I wanted to be just like her when I was older.  I would go home and practice all the new steps I had learned and sometimes would even pretend to teach my own class.  It was then that I knew that I wanted to be an amazing dancer and dance teacher just like Miss. Jessica.  As I got older I continued to work hard at dance and I volunteered as an assistant teacher.  Finally for the past few years I have been working for my studio as a dance teacher.  I love dance so much and getting to share my passion with young girls who look up to me is one of my favourite things I do every week.  When I am teaching I remember that first class with Miss. Jessica and aim to be an amazing fun teacher and role model for the kids I am teaching just like her.  Although I don't think I am going to continue being a dance teacher or dancer much longer, it has definitely shaped who I am.  Because of my experience teaching dance, I now also teach swimming lessons too.  Dance has also given me confidence and taught me so many other life lessons.  My jobs teaching and dance are such a huge part of my life and I could not imagine my life without them.  Jessica is still one of my dance teachers today and one of the nicest people I have ever met.  She, my other dance teachers, and dance itself continue to shape who I am everyday.
