Annoying Things

I guess there isn't really a lot of things that annoy me, just the same things that seem to annoy everyone else. Things like when I text my sister asking a question she never seems to respond, which is really annoying because I kind of want an answer even if mom already knows that she's not on the bus coming home. The same thing with if you are sitting right in front of me and decide that you can't hear me. Something else that I find annoying would be when people say yolo or swag. I found this quite annoying before I went to cadet camp last summer but at camp I had an officer in charge of my flight that really did not like yolo, swag, hash-tag, or anything like that. He decided that if anyone said anything like that they would have push-ups to do. Of course he said the same thing about saying airborne but that's because he took a parachutist course and knows what it's like to be airborne. One other thing that only the cadets might understand would be when people mark time too fast. Marking time is marching on the spot and there is a timing for it. The time between your left foot hitting the ground till it hits again should be one full second. Most people count it as "one-one-thousand" but it seems that some don't understand that the counting is necessary. They also thing that lifting their knees isn't necessary either but if they don't they speed up so I can't even keep up. Not much else really annoys me but I guess this would be the top three things that annoy me.

Things that annoy me

I actually don`t have a lot of things that annoy me, A few things that annoys me the most would be the sound of metal on metal. For example a metal pot and a metal spoon scrapping together that sound drives me crazy! I have to leave the kitchen when I hear that sound.  Another thing that annoys me is when people chew with theirs mouths open. It is just disgusting and really gross. I really don`t want to see the food all chewed up in your mouth. The last thing that really annoys me is people who are fake, and it is very clear that they are. I find it rude and unnecessary to act like that. If you don`t like the person you are with just leave don`t act like a different person just to stay with them. These are just a few of the things that annoy me.

The list of things that annoy me could go on forever, These are just a few that I presume are quite common amongst people.

annoying essays!

Something that really annoys me is writing essays.  In other classes like math and science there is only one right answer and limited ways to get that answer.  When you do a question, as long as you know what formulas to use, you can know if you are getting the right answer or not.  In English class there is no right answer.  Anything can be right as long as it can be strongly supported.  I find it really hard to make sure I am going into enough depth when supporting my thesis and even creating my thesis, and this makes essay writing really annoying.  I hate not be able to tell if what I am saying is right or if it doesn't even make sense.  Also, even though we can't use any personnel pronouns in essays (another part of essay writing that really annoys me!), I feel like essays are very opinion based.  Everyone interprets text in there own way, so essays on the same text can vary a lot.  I guess that is nice for the teacher getting to read something different instead of the same thing over and over again, but I always feel I need to make my opinion the same as the teacher's opinion, even though I know that it shouldn't effect my mark.  I also am a pretty good procrastinator.  Especially when I don't like what I'm doing.  Since I can never get my thoughts straight for what I want to write, I just get really annoyed and don't do it.  One time I literally sat in front of a computer for two hours and did nothing because nothing would come to me.  Then I have the hour before the essay is due to finally throw whatever I can together because I have no more time left.  I am sure some of you are reading this and completely disagree with me.  If you enjoy writing and like knowing that there is no right answer you probably love writing essays.  I am just not that person though, and for me they are the most annoying part of school.

What Annoys Me

So you're asking what annoys me? Well, it would probably be easier for me to tell you what doesn't bother me, but since the list is so long, and I can't say a lot of the things I want, I'll only list a few. I'll also apologize in advance if I offend you, but I pretty well made sure that I didn't put anything offensive.

Things that annoy the living daylights out of me include:
  1. my neighbour's stupid motorcycle
  2. people who walk slow
  3. people who post everything they feel on facebook
  4. when people send me game requests on facebook
  5. getting asked the same question over and over again
  6. getting asked questions early in the morning
  7. forgetting things, especially my morning coffees (yes, plural)
  8. people who talk during movies
  9. hockey
  10. when people over explain something
  11. country, rap and pop music, or just any music that isn't alternative or classic rock
  12. cat-obsessed people, like my brother's girlfriend's mom
  13. people who are terrible drivers
  14. people in general
  15. repeating myself, more than once, to someone who asks a question. shut up and listen if you want to know
  16. blog posts (sorry Mrs. Le)
I don't even have a reason for why all of these things bother me, they just do, and in retrospect you have probably bothered me more than once, and hey I've probably bothered you too, that's just life, but it doesn't mean I don't like who you are as a person. Anyway, if I continued I would probably have a novel, and since I'm getting angry just writing about what annoys me I'm going to stop.

Does anyone out there agree with anything I put here? Please tell me, it would make me feel more normal..

Things That Annoy |\/|e!

Not very much annoys me any more, because after being teased quite a lot in elementary school I learned to let anger go. However, one of the only things that bothers me is when someone speaks about a subject they no nothing about and act like they are an expert. For example, when someone is talking about a classic car and says something like " That car is a Chrysler Station Wagon, and was made in 1956.", when it is actually a Ford Fairlane 500 wagon from 1965. So basically I think what annoys me the most is when someone doesn't know what they are talking about and are ignorant about it.

Annoying

The thing that annoys me most is when someone flushes the toilet while you're in the shower and it's either freezing cold or scalding hot for a minute. It happens to me all the time in the shower, one time I almost fell because I was trying to get out of the stream of water. If I take too long in the shower sometimes my parents will start to flush the toilet and run water on purpose so I'll get out but if I still have shampoo in my hair it makes it so hard to wash it out. If I shower at the gym it always goes from warm to cold and it's the worst. This is why I like to take baths :)

Stuff that annoys me…

annoy.png

Everyone has something (or many things) that bother them.  For example, things that annoy me include:

  • people who talk near my ear
  • lateness
  • Blizzards with minimal Smarties
  • the fact that I know a lot of things annoy me, but I can’t think of anything else right now!

Your job for this post is to discuss something that annoys you with examples and explanations.

You are also required to intelligently respond to two others’ posts.

My Defining Moment - Raven Elliot

Raven Elliot

 My Defining Moment

My defining moment? I think that one's character is defined by many moments, based on actions, behaviors and thoughts. But there is that one major day or time in one’s life when they just think. Think about where they are, where they've been, what they've done, where they want to go, what they want to do, and most importantly who they are and who they want to be. For myself this day would have been in the early spring of 2009. The face of the day was turning into twilight as I was standing on the deck of my suburb house in the city, reflecting on the past few months of my life that were full of so much despair, loneliness and struggle. My so called family was full of controlling and very narrow minded people. Growing up in that environment I learned that I was supposed to behave a certain way, be a certain someone, and value certain things. I had no intentions of doing this. I valued my education and through that I found my freedom to be a unique individual. That day I decided I would forever take off the mask I wore to keep conflicts with my family at bay. These conflicts were, about my identity, as I was starting to stand up for myself and deny the certain way that they wanted me to be. The next step was to figure out who I wanted to be. Learning had helped me before so I decided I would read. I read novel after novel, several genres. Through these adventures I defined a mental list of what my characteristics were and what more I wanted to be like.Through the eyes of the different characters and knowing all the different possibilities I had, I realized what my values were and what I wanted. Because of that moment of realization, to the day I stand up boldly for what my values are and my freedom to be who I want to be.
